Who Is This I See?
Well, you see I have this friend,
She is kind and funny at the same time,
Like any other person would be.
And yet when I see her by her lonesome self,
She still does appear the same to me.
But that is not what troubles me.
What troubles me is,
When I see her with other people,
She appears different to me.
I see a person with courage on the outside,
And for some reason I am the only one who can see,
That in the inside she is full of fear.
I walk up to her like any other,
And she says why have you done this to me.
And then I realize that she is no friend of mine,
She is me.
