DEVIL WEED
HAS THE REFER GOT YOU
IN CONTROL?
DO'ES IT CONTROL YOUR LIFE,
CAN YOU LET GO?

DO YOU PARTY TIL' DAWN
AND COME HOME LATE?

ARE YOU THE LAST ONE GONE,
THEN YOUR SATINS DATE.

DO YOU KEEP ON TOKIN'
THEN WATCH THE SUNRISE?

ARE YOU COMMITTED TO SIN?
TILL' THE PARTY DIES

WOULD YOU SELL YOUR SOUL
FOR ONE LAST BOWL?

YOUR THE LAST ONE GONE
THEN SATANS PIT IS YOUR FINAL GOAL.

THEN STRAIGHTEN UP BEFORE YOU DIE
FOR SATANS HAND WILL MAKE YOU CRY

I'LL SAY AGAIN BEFORE YOU DIE
QUIT THE REFER OR SAY GOOD-BYE!!!!

Larry "Looney" Houser

Life is Precious
I find this message hard to relay,
but if precautions had been taken,
You might not be here today.
You may never have waken,
Never to think laugh or cry,
No parties or that first date,
No existance at all.
Having no past & no fate,
Never to be here nor there,
But to possibly be scattered
throughout the universes.
Never taking a breath of air,
Never ponder a question,
Or see the setting sun.
Your non-existant
on the edge of nowhere

How Do You Live Your Dash
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning... to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
(1934-1998)

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars... the house... the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile...
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

A few years ago,at Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line for a 100-yard dash.At the gun, they all started out,not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win. All, that is,except one little boy with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple times, and began to cry.The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back.Every one of them. One girl with Downs syndrome bent down and kissed him and said:"This will make it feel better"Then all nine link arms and walked together to the finish line.Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes.People who were there are still telling the story

WHY?

Because deep down we know this one thing:What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves. What matters more in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing of course

A Hug Today
There's something in a simple hug that always warms the heart.
It welcomes us back home and makes it easier to part.

A hug's a way to share the joy and sad times we go through or just a way
for friends to say they like you 'cause you're you.

A hug is an amazing thing, it's just a wonderful way to show the love
we're feeling but can't find the words to say.

Hugs don't need new equipment, special batteries or parts; just open up
your arms and open up your heart.

It's funny how a little hug makes everyone feel good; in every place and
language, it's always understood.

Looney poem's a doll
Prayed long and often, for me to find
Somebody Pretty Praising and Kind
I know your not ready for this kind of talk
My failure will be if I don't knock
Would like to plant a seed in your heart
that grows a love we never part.
I'm not so dumb I'd propose by e-mail or letter.
Other ways,in person for one would be better
I'm looking for love that surpasses earth a love I can still have in heaven
Would like to be holding your hand when I visit all the stars
that's something I intend to do and do it with you
Eternity time enough to do everything
Wanting more than a wife to share my life
Climb every mountain clear to the top
To proclaim this love,
that will never stop
Looking again at the photo's you sent
Please don't worry I'm not crazy or bent.
the book says good things come to those who wait,
finding you is absolutly great,
Well this is turning out to be no easy task,
Some help from above I humbly ask,
That help I know I need,
his words I solomly heed
God spared my life to do something yet,
Your part of that I bet.
Lets find it together.
Then live forever in the lords perfect place
Where we can see that glorious face

Hey room I would like your opinion of what my (never-mind) did bet this is something we would all like to achieve bye-now

A Y2K Poem
Twas the night before Y2K,
And all through the nation,
We'd soon see the bug that,
Caused such a sensation.

The chips were replaced,
In computers with care,
In hopes that ol' Bugsy,
Wouldn't stop there.

While some folks could think,
They were snug in their beds,
Others had visions,
Of dread in their heads.

And Ma with her PC,
And I with my Mac,
Had just logged on the Net,
And kicked back with a snack.

When over the server,
There arose such a clatter,
I called Mister Gates,
To see what was the matter.

But he was away,
So I flew like a flash,
Off to my bank,
To withdraw all my cash.

Then word of the shortage,
Caused such a demand,
That the money was gone,
And the streets were all jammed.

When what with my wandering eyes,
Should I see on my screen,
But Millennium Bugsy,
This must be a dream!.

The Hack of all hackers,
Was looking so smug,
I knew that it must be,
The Y2K bug!

His image downloaded,
In no time at all,
He whistled and shouted,
"Let all systems fall!"

"Go Intel! Go Gateway!
Now HP! Big Blue!
Everything Compac,
And Pentium too!

All processors big,
All processors small,
Crash away! Crash away!
Crash away all!"

All the controls,
That make the planes fly,
And the microwaves for,
The signals they rely.

All through the system,
To me, and to you,
The predictions they made,
Would soon all come true.

And then came a twinkling,
As midnight drew near,
All over the globe,
In each hemisphere.

As I drew in my breath,
And was turning around,
Out through the modem,
He came with a bound.

He was covered with fur,
With six legs outspread,
Two beady eyes,
And a chip on his head.

With a sack full of virii,
Flung on his back,
He looked like a hacker,
Just waiting to hack.

His eyes - how they twinkled!
His dimples - how merry!
As midnight approached, Though
Things soon became scary.

His droll little mouth was,
Drawn up in a sneer,
While he sat like a kid,
Waiting out the new year.

Two little antenna,
Stuck out of his head,
(Improved his reception,
from what I've heard said.)

He had a broad face,
and a round little belly,
But with six dirty socks,
His feet were quite smelly.

He was chubby and plump,
Perpetually grinning,
And I laughed when I saw him,
Though my hard drive stopped spinning.

A wink of his eye,
And a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know,
A new feeling of dread.

He spoke not a word,
But went straight to his work,
He changed all the clocks,
Then turned with a jerk.

With a twitch of his nose,
And a quick little wink,
All things electronic,
Soon went on the blink.

He zoomed from my system,
To the next folks on line,
He caused such a disruption,
Could this be a sign?

Then I heard him exclaim,
With a loud, hearty glee,
'This has been fun,
I'll see you next century!'"

Red roses were her favorites, her name was also Rose.
And every year her husband sent them, tied with pretty bows.
The year he died, the roses were delivered to her door.
The card said, "Be my Valentine", like all the years before.
Each year he sent her roses, and the note would always say,
"I love you even more this year, than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow, with every passing year."
She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear.
She thought, he ordered roses in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early, way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.
She trimmed the stems, and placed them in a very specialvase.
Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours, in her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there.
A year went by, and it was hard to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude, that had become her fate.

Then, the very hour, as on Valentines before, The doorbell rang,
and there were roses, sitting by her door.
She brought the roses in, and then just looked at them inshock.
Then, went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop.
The owner answered, and she asked him, if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her, causing her such pain?
"I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call, and you would want to know.
The flowers you received today, were paid for in advance.
Your husband always planned ahead, he left nothing tochance.
There is a standing order, that I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance, you'll get them every year.
There also is another thing, that I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...he did this years ago.
Then, should ever I find out that he's no longer here,
That's the card...that should be sent, to you the following year."
She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking, as she slowly reached to get the card.
Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note.

Then, as she stared in total silence, this is what he wrote...
"Hello my love, I know it's been a year since I've beengone,
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome.
I know it must be lonely, and the pain is very real.
For if it was the other way, I know how I would feel. The love we shared
made everything so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say, you were the perfect wife.
You were my friend and lover, you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year, but please try not to grieve.
I want you to be happy, even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses will be sent to you for years.
When you get these roses, think of all the happiness,
That we had together, and how both of us were blessed.
I have always loved you and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on, you have some living still.
Please...try to find happiness, while living out your days.
I know it is not easy, but I hope you find some ways.
The roses will come every year, and they will only stop,
When your door's not answered, when the florist stops to knock.
He will come five times that day, in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit, he will know without a doubt,
To take the roses to the place, where I've instructed him,
And place the roses where we are, together once again.
Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe that there really is
good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that there really is an
unlocked door just waitingfor you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.

Butterfly Kisses
We often learn the most from our children.

Some time ago, a friend of mine punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight, and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found that the box was empty. He yelled at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside of it?"

The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy it's not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy." The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged her forgiveness. My friend told me that he kept that gold box by his bed for years. Whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as parents has been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children.

There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things "in order", she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in. The woman also requested to be buried with her favorite Bible.

Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her. "There's one more thing," she said excitedly. "What's that?" came the pastor's reply. "This is very important," the woman continued. "I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand." The pastor stood looking at the woman, not knowing quite what to say. "That surprises you, doesn't it?" the woman asked.

"Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request," said the pastor. The woman explained, "In all my years of attending church socials and potluck dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main coursewere being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork'.

It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming...like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance!

So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder "What's with the fork?'. Then I want you to tell them: "Keep your fork....the best is yet to come".

The pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the woman goodbye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She KNEW that something better was coming. At the funeral people were walking by the woman's casket and they saw the pretty dress she was wearing and her favorite Bible and the fork placed in her right hand. Over and over, the pastor heard the question "What's with the fork?" And over and over he smiled. During his message, the pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her.The pastor told the people how he could not stop thinking about the forkand told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either. He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you oh so gently, that the best is yet to come. Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Her Baby's Tiny Hands
While pregnant with her son
Beneath her heart within,
She'd often feel his hands
Moving inside her skin.
He'd stretch his arm and hand
And push out on her side
She'd lovingly push it back
With a smile so sweet and wide.
She could hardly wait
For his upcoming birth
To touch his tiny hands
And welcome him to earth.
Then it finally came,
The night that he was born.
With joy she couldn't contain,
She held him until morn.
She explored his tiny fingers.
She counted all his toes.
She wanted to get to know him,
His ears, his cheeks, his nose.
The wonder of it all,
At this new baby boy!
She could not hold back.
She wept with tears of joy.
She touched his tiny hand,
A miniature of her own.
He squeezed it tight on her finger.
Such joy she had never known!
The time passed and he grew.
As a toddler, it was grand
To walk along and hold
His fleshy little hand.
She taught him many things.
Together they spent hours.
She'd take his little hand
And touch it to a flower.
When she would hold him close,
He soon developed the knack
Of hugging her 'round the neck,
His tiny hand patting her back.
As her son grew older,
His young hands also grew.
He learned many ways to use them.
Each day brought something new.
She helped him learn to read.
She helped him learn to write.
Then, as the day was ending,
She'd pray with him at night.
He learned to use a hammer
With which to drive a nail.
He'd sometimes strike his finger
And let out quite a wail!
Her son continued growing
And soon became a man.
She loved him just as much
As when his life began.
His hands were now full grown,
So strong, yet tender, when
He, with deep compassion,
Comforted a friend.
She was extremely grateful
When his hands would fold;
And bowing his head in prayer,
To his Father in Heaven he'd hold.
As the years flew swiftly by,
She watched her son with pride,
His strong but gentle arms
And hands there at his side.
She then thought her life was over.
She suffered unspeakable loss
When her son's beloved hands
Were nailed to a wooden cross...
But that was just the beginning.
For he died and rose again.
Her sorrow then was ended,
And joy replaced her pain.
For, you see, her son was Jesus,
God coming to earth as man,
To save us from our sins
According to His plan.
We cannot save ourselves.
Our sins would lead to death.
God put our sins on Jesus,
The perfect and the best.
With this came our forgiveness
If we believe in Him
And ask Him into our hearts,
He'll take away our sins.
As He was resurrected,
Eternal Life He'll bring
To all who have faith and believe
And to His hand will cling
