I shudder to consider how common the mind is. Man, thinking well done when perchance he espouses some morsel of intellect. A bit of discernment pulled from the yawing vastness of the human mind. Yet, bears animosity toward the unlearned. Reveling in such trite accomplishment. Nay, I say not any more peculiar creature than the beasts of the field. Hovering always on the precipice of understanding till pride tumbles him down.
Life, our dissertation. Fallow fields or charred remnants of our hopes and aspirations. The cold nights holding one in that place between sleep and wake. Teasing, tempting, enticing with promise, threat and all manner of whimsical thought. Tis’ the place of all possibilities. Ner' to be contrite but valiant. Sparing the oppressed the humilities which have befallen them. Perhaps bolstering ones own ability to right the wrongs. Or chose ye cruelty. A viscous hand striking out to punish those perceived as trifling or inconsequential. Relishing the fear clouding their eyes. Bitterness coats your tongue. Make no error in judgment, for by this same portion ye are judged. Marked forever by all man. Pray chose well done.
Intake of breath. Mesmerized by the simple beauty and utter perfection of the being before me. A presence that startled me amidst the crowds. Lovely eyes playing a myriad of emotions changing with such rapidity I longed to follow. Velvet brown hair kissed gently by the sun run through with gold. For this we long when youth flees. This utter perfection, a story yet untold. Stirring in us tenderness. Never again to be captured in this lifetime. Breath smelling sweet when sleep leaves the eyes. Untainted by the sourness forever captured by age. A child.
Internal fortitude. Symbolic of masculine strength. Perceived as the truest course of action. Nay, I say declares it's self weak-minded. Always choosing the path of least resistance. Continual deferment to a cause in false pretense. Stay fast the binders for fear of revelation. Spares man his painful visitation with himself.
