if something doesn't go your way

Today
we pondered
all about you
As my day
began to turn blue
and all I could do
was start to miss you
who would've known
the time was short
but the memories are long
had nothing to say
but sing a song
If I could say goodbye

you were my cousin

the hero I dreamed
to grow up to be
May not be able to see
but I can feel
and my memories are real

I had an accident
10 years ago
the Doctors didn't say much
or how things would go
but the Lord above
he sure knows
I met a lot of people
in my path to be free
my path to recovery
to heal me
I felt a strong love
from people
I never met before
always hoping
I can achieve more
My memories of my recovery
had its ups and downs
Yes it had sad times
maybe a few frowns
but my hopes
were still high
even when
I was feeling down
I thought of the love all around
and that's what picked me up from the ground!

Tribute to all the Americans
who died on that tragic day
Tribute to all the heros
that came to save the day
September 11th, 2001
go down in history
marked as not much fun
Some people are strangers to the victims
but still feel pain
Only Sorrow
was the thing to gain
It took a tragedy
for Americans to become close
to stand tall
and wave our flag high
sing our national anthem
and start to cry

As I now take off my hat
we are Americans
and that's that!

Today evil gave us another test
like an annoying critter
or just a pest
we had many challenges
years before
we were alway together
protecting each others door
we have the strength to survive
always the will to stand out
this is America
and freedom
is what we're all about
so when u think this may be the end
just stand together
and stand like one
and evil will not win
because we are never just one
I write this poem
for all the fallen heros
a life
is a life
that may count just as one
1000's taken away
now the damage is done
now it's time
for the American to have fun
and let the evil count the lives
and say
yes the damage is done!
Being a Survivor

Being a survivor
is ment to be
maybe not for everybody
but yes, for me
I am who I am
want people to see
don't treat me any different
except for me
I drove in the car
two days a go
I saw a rainbow in the sky
made me ponder
made me cry
I wanted to make a wish
but I didn't know for who
then I realized
my wish would be for you
all the survivors
in the past
and yet to come
some think it's easy
but it's really no fun
don't every lose fait
don't ever be afraid to fall
just get back up
and always stand tall
Proud to be a survivor
and say yeah that's me
My hopes and prayers
go to the rest
