An EMT Life
Travis Lamb
I see the faces full of fear, doubt and hurt
I see the broken bodies lying in the dirt
I hear the lonely sound of family crying
As a loved one nearby may be dying
A mother begs, "Please save my little one!"
How do I tell her I've done all that can be done
You may think i'm hard and callous and nothing bothers me
But I remember and am changed by everything I see
You ask why I do this job, why do this thing?
Because the joy is indescribable that saving a life can bring
I don't do this for the glamour or the pay
I do this so maybe you can live another day
