 I'm a mother of an 11 year old boy. A.J. was hit and run over by a half ton truck Oct.15/1997. He had three closed skull fractures,lost a large part of his liver, lost his spleen, hads broken bones in his right eye,and almost lost one kidney. We are learning how to deal with his brain injury. Most people see a farely normal child, until his emotional outbursts. He is emotionally 6 years old, and has dropped from a grard5 to a 2/3 level. he has lost his reasoning abilities, among other things. Everything is now day by day. all we can do is hope for the best.
