annie.jpg Hello Everyone !

I just finished reading your stories WOW the human spirit truly is anazing! ok so here's my story On Tuesday Dec.17th 1996 I went to work as usual and that day our work unit went out for a Christmas luncheon the next thing I know I'm on the floor having a seizure trying to talk but it all came out slurred so the restuarant manager thought I was drunk and would not call an ambulace but fortunately a co-worker/angel kept telling the manager and me that I was having a stroke which I simply would not believe I was only 39 years old! with no family history of stroke so my dear angel Uracy insisted an ambulance be called and I was taken to the hospital and sure enough was having a MASSIVE stroke Theannie2.jpgstroke itself wasn't so bad in fact it was kind of cool it was waking up totaly paralyzed on the left side of my bodythat really sucked,I was in a coma for 10 days and my family was told that IF rhey could save ny life I would be a total vegetable I chose corn because everybody likes corn:-] Well when I was finally conscious enough to understavd what was really going on I got really mad and vowed to myselfthat I would not be a cripple for the rest of my life They told me I would be in a Wheel Chair for at least two years and less than a year later I was walking with a brace on my leg and a cane but as those of you know yhat have been wheelchairbound anythingis better than being stuck in that thingannie3.jpgI also drive again now which is very cool I plan a trip to Arizona in the Spring and hopefully to Seattle next Summer. I have a lot of recovering left to do but I have known from the very beginning that when all was said and done I would be better than I ever was and I know with God's help I will achieve that goal.My best to all of you Keep the Faith!

yours in life after brain death
