I was at basketball practice and I brought one of my teammates home and the roads were icy from the snow storm we were having. I first decided not to go down one icy road but did take another dirt road which led to the bottom of the hill. Towards the end of the road my car started to skid and I flipped the car down the bank into the water. My friend somehow got out and ran down the road and out on to route 30 and stopped two men and a woman to help me out of my car. The men got me out and started CPR on me. Then I was taken to Mary Hitchcock Hospital where I was revived and put into intensive care. The first thing that I remember was the place where I stayed and then I remembered one of the nurses who was very helpful. After I came out of my coma of 7 days, I was then transferred to Cheshire Medical where I stayed about 20 days. I did become physically active again and able to add and subtract. When they thought I was ready to go home I went. A few days after I got out my family and I then had Christmas. We then had Christmas at our house for both sides of the family and that was nice to see everyone having fun. After the Christmas vacation I then went back to school it was nice to see all of my friends again and the friend who saved my life. I then played basketball again the coach let me though I was a starter before and now I was on the bench an only able to come in at the end of the game when we were up alot or down alot. The bus trips were fun, and the reception from all the team was nice too. I then played baseball. It was supposed to be my best year though it was not. I then graduated and also began work again. As all my friends went away to college I did stay home making plans for the next fall. I am trying a community college math course to see how college is and just to check out if I'm ready or not. Now I am hoping to drive again, to go to college, to keep in touch with friends, to make new friends, and to become more independent
