well  its  dec 13  2005  
 and tim is still  getting  better  
 but as of this time i think  we are at a  stand still 
 he wants to  walk  but the  ataxia   causes  so much  shaking that  he  has so much
trouble  
 but ya know  even if he never  walks  he is  here  and i  enjoy  haveing  him  
 maybe next year  we will get  married   
   some people  tell me i  do to  much   and  maybe i do  but it  is  so hard to 
see the one ya  love  struggle  so much  
 dec  1st   was  7 months   and i  will keep pushing   and he will keep trying  he 
can  now get from the bed to  his wheelchair  and back in bed  
 i  need to  let him do  more      
 i hope   some day  they  will  give him more therapy   but till some of the 
shaking  goes  away they  wont  so  we will  work on this  at  home

iam writting this  i have learned so much  comming to this  web site  
 my hubby to be  was ridding his motorcycle to my  place after he came in off the
road  (he was an  over the road  truck driver )  when  ridding down 65 hwy  in
missouri  
 just 13 miles from my house   a semi  hit him from behind  this was may 1  2005 
well i got a call from a lady at the accident  she said he asked  her to call me  
 i will never  forget that call as long as i live  
 well my  kids and i  left the house  in a bit  of a hurry  and got to where he was 
they had  him in the amblance and wouldnt let me in to see him  
than they said they had called life flight  
 they had to do a field trac   and bag him  all the way to the hospital  we pulled
in the hospital  parking  lot when they landed    had to wait  for what seemed
forever  
 all i could do  was pray that  he would  be with us  
  he was in  icu  at the springfield hospital  for  what seemed like forever  i
stayed rite there  i just couldnt leave  every time i went in to visit i would 
hold his hand and pray   
 well the drs said they didnt know if he would make it   but deep in my heart  and
the sign i got from the lord i knew he would  
they  say he went with out oxagen for 3-5 mins  and he has  ataxia  and anoxia   
 but in the 5 and a half  months he  sure has come a long way  
 and  my faith says god isnt finished  with him yet  
 he cant walk   even though he has  good use of his legs   it because of the shaking
  and the un balance  that he has  
i  try to remember to thank god every day that i still have him  with me  
there is alot of  work and stress taking care of him  but i wouldnt have it any
other way  
 they say if he hadnt  gone into shock that  all he wouldve came out of this  with
is  a torn up motorcycle  4 fractured ribs  a torn rotator cuff  and a few
fractures of the face  but  god  has  given him a second chance  
 he  has short term memory loss  ( i just hope he  forgets that he loved to ride 
motorcycles )  but if he ever could  again i would never try to stop him  its
something  he loved to do  i dont ever think i could get  enough information on tbi
 i try to study  about it all the time
