Cheryl Dean

Cheryl Dean can't talk, so I will tell you what happened to her. I am her mother Connie

Cheryl had an Anoxic Brain injury on Oct 5, 1997. It was from an asthma attack and drug overdose. Cheryl was 18 when it happened, she is 20 now.

Her improvements are they removed her tracheostomy after one year. They inserted a baclofen pump in her stomach for severe spasticity. She can smile and laugh outloud.

Cheryl still can't walk, talk, move legs or arms has cortical blindness and is still on a feeding tube.

Cheryl is at a Brain Injury Rehab and they are talking about discharging her into a nursing home now.
