Claudette "dove" Fex

Greetings my name is Claudette, I was two car accidents. The first one was a big one. A head on collision in 1996, I was driving home, when a car came in my line, and hit me. They shipped me to the hospital by air ambulance. There they saw how bad I was injured. I had a head injury, a broken jaw in three places, a broken right wrist, a broken left leg, they had put pin it. I had a stroke, and I was in coma for a month. When I came out of the coma I didn't what happen to me. I had lost some my memory, almost a half year. With the help of my family, they showed me what a year it was. My doctor told my family, that there was a little chance I was going to be normal. They were told that I was going to be a vegetable and in a wheelchair. I was told that I had to learn how to eat and talk. I think when I starting to talk I surprised the doctor. It was very slow at first, they put in a wheelchair, I didn't walk. Then they sent me to another hospital for the physical therapy, and there I started to have seizures at the hospital. It was time to move on, they wanted me in the next town. They found a good place for me. It has been my home since 1997 I think. My second accident happen crossing the street, I was by a hit by a car. I had another head injury, cut. I was little black and blue. I broke my left leg not to far from where the first one happened. I was back in a wheelchair again. But for my strong head, I fought very hard to walk again, not once but two times. Now I'm walking with a cane and talking. What a long fight, I have had. I've seen very brave people on this page. I thought I had it bad, but now I'm not the only one. Someone told me once I have a heart of courage. I don't think so, there are some here.

Yours Truly Claudette
