My name is Daphne I am 34 years old. I have a sister who is now 36 years old. She was a passenger in a car accident in 1980. She broke her neck and has been in a coma for 20 years. For the last several years she has actually been semi-comatose. she tries to smile, she cries and lets you know when shes uneasy. My sister and I were very close before her accident. I have been visiting her and arranging her care since day 1. I have 3 brothers and another sister who do not visit her. They say its too depressing to see her in her present condition. This frustrates me and every so often it causes arguments between us. Im sure if they were in her condition, they would want family to visit them. I was wondering if there is anyone else who is going through this. I would like to hear from you.
