Here is my story

When I was 11 years old (1984) I was on my fist school trip with my new school. It was the third day of the school trip on a monday when I went in to the town with the teachers and the rest of the group, we all seperated to go and buy presents to take home with us.

I was sitting on top of a hill when I was attacked by 6 or 7 16 year old boys, (I was told later when I came out of my 6 week coma that these lads had knives and broken bottles), so I started to run to get away and was hit by a car. my injurys were what the doctor called closed head injurys in other words my brain swelled in my skull.ther were no other injuyrys apart from a cut which required stiches, and grazing.

Now I suffer with a lot of back problems due to the way I walk as I have balance problems. I also have quite a few other problems aswell but everyone tells me my main problem is my motivation.

At present I am still living with my parents but I have just bought a new bungalow in crossthwaite gardens which is about a mile from where my parents live I hope to be moving in shortly when my support workers and programme have been set up.

We live in a small town in the heart of the lake district England. The nearest big town is about 30 miles away Which can sometimes be difficult

I spend most of my time on my computer But I am hoping things will start to change soon, I have tried lots of things since my head injury but this time I am hoping things will be succesful.

I am now 27, I have a brother and sister and a neice and nephew. I am into computers and model making.
