On February 20, 2002 my mother rushed me the hospital with a fever of 103.6, I was told I did not know my name, phone number, sisters name, mother's name and that I also was using the restroom all over myself.

They told my mother that I had to be flown to All Children's Hospital in St. Pete because I only had 2 hours to live because they found a Abscess on my Brain. I had surgery that night once my mom arrived at the hospital and then again on March 1, 2002, I started having seizures after the surgery also, after all the speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy, I finally was able to go home on March 19, 2002.

I have spent my days since coming home from the hospital at the 6 different doctors my mom has to take me to from time to time and all of the CT's & MRI's and blood work, this has totally changed my live & my mom's life.

My life has changed so much, I ended up missing my last half of my senior year of high school, I missed all of the senior activities, I still can not drive because of the caution of the seziures.

My mood changes so much that my mother and sisters tell me that I am so hard to live with now. My mother says before the surgerys that I was a very polite and nice person, now I'm like a Dr. Jerkly/Hyde type person.

My mother has truly enjoyed reading all of the stories on this website, but truly it is hard for me because I was only 17 years old when this happened and now I am only 19 years old, I can't play ball like I used to and so many other things that I used to do.

I would love for someone else who's in my same shoes to please email me at neicees@yahoo.com.
Thank you
