I had two episodes of CNS vasculitis, one in 1992 second in 1994. I was 41 and 43. Vasculitis causes strokes. My 1st time it effected my short term memory. 2nd was more severe. It effected my right side, balance, and speech. I was hospitalized for 3 months , including re-hab. I have a great support system: husband, 2 grown kids, friends neighbors. I consider myself fortunate in that area. I am just beginning to come to terms that things are pretty much stagnant. My neurologist said tissue damage is evident on MRI. I had lesions on my brain stem. Isoloation is another adjustment issue. Thank goodness for Zoloft. And you guys!!!!
