James "James" Heberlein

Picture of James Heberlein On April 22 1982 I was out riding a motorcycle with friends to the river we started drinking along the way And got intoxicated. Riding back to town lost control on a curve and started slapping the right side of my Body against a rock wall. They got me to hospital, stabilize me than shipped me by ambulance eighty so miles away. The ambulance broke down so they sent a different one out. Transferred me and I straight Line they thumped me and had pulses,15 more miles and that ambulance broke down. Sent another out for me may have had a second straight line thump, received 100 mg of I.V.lidocaine FINALLY to the trauma center.

Entire facial structure appears to be free floating , maxilla, mandible, etc. Close head injury compound fractures right femur, hip, ankle, and knee cap. left finger and two hand bones. In the hospital 30 days six or more operations, 10 months rebuilding. I was a young 23 years old then, now 39. A lot changed that month. Had a lot of emotional confusion that I did not no how to deal with. Some might or might not be from childhood , or brain shock who is to say? I'm just thankful to have the extended years before me now. THANK YOU TBI Chat Room, for reading the stories has helped me a great deal !
