James L. Stewart

I am the survivor of multiple back surgeries, plates, fusions, etc., the actual injury occurred in 1981, slip and fall in a retail establishment. I have used every ounce of accumulated stamina and a strong, never quit, personality, to get some sense of management of pain. The majority of physicians don't really have any compassion past the $$. Anyway I was beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. On the fateful day in 9/97 an overanxious driver "T-Boned" my automobile, by the way Cadillac Lost, Bmw Won. The other driver was not injured, however, even though I was in seatbelts, I was shaken, pulled, thrown and otherwise resulting in many herniated disc in the cervical area, pinched nerves, vertebra resting upon each other, and yet at the time I believed maybe it was my previous injuries exacerbated by the collision. Within a day or two my head ached, neck was increasingly sore to the touch, numbness down my left arm, presently down my right arm too. The traditional MRI with contrast was performed and among the injuries hereinabove mentioned, a new bulging disc was present at T-12. Arachnoiditis was a new name I learned together with no available cure. It has been indeed a challenging set of events in my life, but I am blessed with an incredible strong constitution, most of the time, and I refuse to let my body dicate what I can and cannot do. Obviously I not going skiing, power lifting, etc., but being creative as afforded me the opportunity to assist others with pain depression, and simply talking, caring, concern, alternatives and so on! I not here to tell you how benevolent I am, instead I know that if I am to overcome my injuries I must be tough, flexible and never quit...Thats basically about me, I would love to hear from all who would choose to e-mail anytime..
God Bless, James L. Stewart
