Jared Michael "Miracle Boy" Sutton

Why didn't I wear my helmet for that ride? Nov. 4, 2003 should've been the last day of my life. On a four lane road, I had a car flip a u- turn in the outside lane right in front of me, and stopped in my lane. I got my bike sideways and pinned my right leg between my bike and his car snapping my right femur. The impact was enough to allow my front bike tire to hit the car's front tire in just the perfect position to send me flying. . .78 feet measured at the scene. I came down onto the right side of my head. All that I have just said id known to me through police reports for I have no memory of this day at all.

4 emergency brain surgeries. 2 and a half weeks in a coma. Part was induced. A total of 6 weeks in ICU. 9 surgeries ranging from the compound r. femur fracture to the shunt needing to drain CSF dumping from my right ear. What a awful and really, really weird way to wake up in the hospital. I stand here today a robotic human being. 18 surgery veteran, and a million dollar man. 1.3 to be exact on how much it took to patch me up. I carry the name Miracle Boy which was given to me by my neurosurgeon. I look for anyone who may need or can give help to someone who has answers, but at times can feel truly lost.

Bless you for taking the time to read this. My goal in life is to educate others on a different kind of life. My life is a miracle. Not of choice, but no more than a gift
