October 22, 1999 changed me life forever! I went to a birthday party and there were boys and girls there. The girl that was having the party asked if we could drive the truck and her dad said we could so we were driving around for awhile then brought the keys back we did that about 6 or 7 times. The boys left around 11:00p.m. that night and there was five girls there all under the age of 16, so none of us had our license! We asked the dad if we could drive and he said yeah and gave us the keys and we were driving and I admit I drove one or twice (I knew I shouldn't have done this but I did)Anyways we were driving and we hit lose gravel and rolled the ford explore about three times and I flew out the sun roof and landed on my head about 45 feet away. I was air lifted to St.Mary's and was placed in Pete's ICU while I was in a coma for two and a half weeks. I had a feeding tube in my belly to feed me. Once I woke I had to learn how to walk, talk, and alot of other things all over again. I had therpy for the time that I was in the hospital.I discharged on December 16th of 99'. Got the tube out of my belly on January 4th. It really helped me out so I would like to thank all the people that helped me out from St.Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
