Jim N.

My name is Jim N. and I live in southern California. What happened is back in 1989 on Friday Nov. 08 I was out celebrating my 27th birthday and I got into a terriable accident while riding my motorcycle. It was about midnight and was going west on Ramona Blvd. at a very high rate of speed (approx. 100 mph) I tried to make a left hand turn onto Baldwin Park Blvd. and halfway through the turn my back tire blew out, the bike went wide and hit the curb which made the motorcycle stop. I flew forward over the handlebars and went face first into a tree, upon hitting the tree I shattered my jaw, broke my nose in three places, fractured my skull and broke my clavical bone not to mention the damage done to my insides which was considerable. The results of the accident were, I was in a coma and the doctors called my family told them i was going to die. Eight weeks later I came out of the coma and I was then put in a rehabilitation hospital for the next four months. After my release from the hospital I went home to what I thought to be a very grateful girlfriend, however six months after my release from the hospital she decided that I was more work than I was worth so she packed my bags called my family and told them to come and get me. My mother was living in Salt Lake City Utah at the time of my accident and upon learning of the accident moved out here to california did just that, she drove to my ex's house picked up me and my belongings and I moved in with her. It has been a tough ten years and I hope that it will only get better. With the love of my family it can do nothing but get better so I keep on getting on and maybe one day this terrible accident will make some kind of sence. All I can do is live life and see what God has in store for me, which must be something good because he has had more than one chance to take me back, but for some reason he has'nt. So I just want to finish this ride and see whats next.
