Sorry I don't have a scanner yet so I can not show you my picture. I did not know that I had a TBI until I called the Epilepsy Association and they refer me also to the TBI Association. That is how much information I recieved from my doc's when I was in the hospital. Since 1996 I was having headaches almost every day. I was an active duty soldier an I was doing a particular job that required me more hours than usual on front of a computer and I had a lot of stress so I thought, well this is just a tension headache. Almost a year later during my honeymoon I had a real bad migrane (and I was not stressed). My husband took me to the hospital and I got out of there with Motrin. I kept having headaches until March 9th of this year when I had a very strong migraine. My husband ran again with me to the hospital, they did a CT scan, a Spinal tab, and all kind of stuff and nothing was found. They sent me home but the headache never went away, I came back Thursday, really sick, vomiting, sensitive to light, and nothing was found. They sent me home with more pain killers. The following day I did not have a headache but my right hand was acting really left and clumsy. I was in a rush, I had to turn in a job application so I left. When I was driving I had a Grand Mal seizure. Guess what! I could not stop my car. I believe God drove because I know I crashed but nothing happened to the car. I was taken to the nearest hospital which is charging 5,000 grands for just one day, they did a lot of stuff, I was told I had two more big seizures but no clue why. My husband says that I was talking to him and the docs' but I do not remember. To not make you bore, I had a stroke, some curious blood clots decided to have fun with my brain. Thanks God I recovered really fast. I basically learned how to use my hand again within weeks. I lost time that I don't remember, and it was a real frightening time. My husband was always there, he even slept in the hosp. with me. I had to learn how to swalow a medication coktel every night and day when I never use to use medications. I am really absent minded, that was a hard one. I use to be very sharp in my toughts. I forget names so easy, I could forget words such as computer or dog on bad days. But other than that and seizures, I am doing good. Learning a lot things that nobody explained to me about what I feel, sense etc. Well I better go. I am very thankfull for this chat group. If anybody could give some info on how a stroke influence epilepsy or just to say hi
