Karen "Cameron (Monster Man)" Ramey

We have Two beautiful little boys named Brian and Cameron Brian is 7 and Cam is 4

When Cam was 17months old he pulled a 27inch t.v. over on his head he was knocked unconcious and began to swell at a tremendous rate When the paramedics and fire dept arrived they called for trauma one (life flight) immediately and transported him to University medical center Jax. Fl,He was taken to surgery right away and was in a coma afterwards it was very hard for us we just wanted our baby back he remained in a coma for 7 days and when he woke up he couldn't move his left side he was paralyzed he was like a newborn baby all over again we were then transferred to Genesis rehab hospital which is now brooks rehab

We had a wonderful group of Doctors,Nurses,Therapists, whom worked with Cam on a daily basis he has done wonderful he is now walking, talking, and playing with a few problems

We were told he would be high risk for seizure activity when we were released Jan 5th 1999 and well he has done great since then and just recently he staretd having seizures mild ones they called them atonic and absonce which the atonic ones are hard to control but we seem to have them under control now he did get hurt pretty bad when he started having them he had to get staples but is fine now we thank god everyday for giving us our beautiful son back we didn't care how he gave him back to us we love him for who he is and he is a very special child and he has a wonderful brother and a new little sister which he adores I just wanna say thank you for letting me share this with you and having the tbi chat rooms
