The TBI Chatroom |
I guess I should start in the beginning (that is as much as I can remember) in may 1998 I was in a mental hospital (suicidal tendencies) with addition to Vicodin (10 years - 100 pills a month) because of 4 back surgeries (as I am told my Dr. gave me an overdose of methadone) = fluid on the brain and a breaths per minute = TBI. From that hospital I was send to two other hospitals (1 ER - 2=convalescent home) At the convalescent home that literally had to teach me everything=eating with a bib on - swallowing- bath myself and shower, walk and talk and yes how to go to the bathroom again LOL - From there I went to rehab hospital to learn balance, coordination, exercise with weights and bands. I now have very short long and short-term memory and I have schizophrenia ROFLMA. Drs. now is checking me because I have forgotten how to swallow again. And I am also being checked for Alzheimer's. But I know I can I know I can overcome theses just like Stevie the little engine could.
