My story begins on nov 8,1999. I was a visiting nurse and was going from patient to patient when I was in an auto accident that has changed my life and the lives of my 2 small kids. I suffered a closed head injury. My head hit the windsheild and my head and the rearview mirror went through the window. I had stitches and lots of blood and glass. Life was over as we knew it. I had a small stroke on impact that left my left side weak. My personallity has changed drasticlly. I have had every treatment under the sun from physical therapy to accupuncture. None of which have helped. I still suffer from muscle spasms in my head neck back and shoulders. I have headaches and mental non-functionings. It is no fun. I have been told I can not return to nursing, a career I found rewarding and loved. I was a nurse for 12 years. What am I to do now? No one can answer that. I would love someone to help.
