Landon

My name is Landon and I had a psychotic reaction to amantadine (flu medication). I was hospitalized for 8 days and returned home with headaches and severe sensitivity to light and sound. I lost most of the semester as a Junior in high school. The headaches went away as did the sensitivity in about 4 months. I am now undergoing cognitive therapy to help me with my senior year at school. I wrote my first large paper since January. It was choppy sentences, but it was my own work, which was great for me. I still forget to hang up the phone, where my keys are or glasses, etc. I can never find things and drop my clothes whereever. Tests are difficult for me, especially abstract ideas or questions within questions. I've come a long way, but have a ways to go yet. I can not take any prescription or over the counter drugs since my reaction was so severe. Life is certainly different!
