Update May 28, 2005
Well it has been over a year since my son's accident(April 11/04) There has been very little improvement in his condition. We brought him home over 6 months ago and I have been looking after him. He is not able to do anything for himself and does not respond to commands or do anything purposefull. He is at level 2-3 on the Rancho scale. Still in a coma. We are still waiting for him to start showing signs of improvement. Not sure if it will ever happen.

On April 11/04 my 13 year old son was thrown from a car and sustaind a TBI. He has been in a coma for 11 weeks and will be transfered to home hospital until he comes out of the coma and then at that time will be assessed to see if he can be transfered to a rehab centre. I would like to talk to any other mothers who are waiting for a child to emerge or who have had a young son or daughter go through what my son is going through. I am looking for HOPE!
