MIRANDA IS NOW 13 , SO BEAUTIFUL !
MIRANDA NOW HAS HAD 12 SURGRIES ,FIGHTING TO GET BETTER
SO MANY SET BACKS , ILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY.
MIRANDA IS MY LIFE , MY BESTFRIEND .
I PRAY FOR A MIRACLE !
IM SO PROUD OF HER !
MIRANDA HAD A BROKEN LEG , A VERY SMALL BRAKE UNTILL THE DR SET IT WRONG AND NOW
ALMOST A YEAR LATER AFTER HAVING SURGRY AFTER FIXING WHAT A DIFFERENT DR DID .
MIRANDA IS TRYING TO WALK , TAKING STEPS IN HER NEW WALKER
MIRANDA HAS COME ALONG WAY , HAS A LONG WAY TO GO .
FROM NO BRAIN ACTIVTY , COMATOSED FOR 6 MONTHS , MIRANDA UNDERSTANDS EVERYTHING ,
IS VERY SMART BUT VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE SHE SUFFERS FROM VERY HIGH TONE , SEIZURES
ALSO .
SHE TRIES TO TALK , CAN GET ONE WORD OUT , MAYBE 2 A DAY
SHE CRIES WITH FRUSTRATION ... HER HIGH TONE IS EVEN IN HER MOUTH .
PLEASE PRAY FOR MIRANDA , ILL BE PRAYING FOR EVERYONE ELSE ALSO. Update 02/13/04
Miranda is now 11 , started having seizers because of puberity .
Miranda is very smart ,she is very frustrated because she tries so hard , everything
she tries to do is a stuggle .
we are selling the hyperbaric oxygen chamber now because
she had to have a baclofin pump inplaced , can't get in chamber because of the
pressure .
Miranda wants a bike , she has never had one because her injury was when she was
almost 3 , so now we are trying to get her a bike special made for her .. the cost
$3.000
sad but thats the way it is .. everything for special needs is so expensive .
we may have a fundraiser soon to raise the money .

Miranda is doing great with her new diet .. she is so much healthierFuture Formulations Unique Physician Designed Formulas for Your Health Miranda is fighting so hard to regain what she lost over 5 years ago ... its a long, hard road. Her injury was so bad that the DR said no one has ever survived this type of injury with those pressures before, the longest any one has ever lived was 21 days. After 6 months in a coma ... she has been working on getting better. Miranda is disabled for now. GOD is healing her and we trust in him. She has come along way and has along way to go. Please pray for a miracle please pray for a full recovery in the name of JESUS Miranda is disable for now, has to relearn everything. Miranda has had 9 surgeries all together and threw all of this she also has been injured by a pt (broke her leg) And also a nurse at a hospital .( burned her arm) Miranda is a very strong and brave little girl and we are very proud of her. She is now getting Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy as of July 17th 2000 she has had 56 treatments and it is helping her tone and she has made progress...Miranda has come such a long way and has a long way to go. Miranda may need hundreds of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments, which we can not afford ..the treatments are expensive . we are raising money by doing different fundraisers and still not able to keep up with the treatments she needs. we would like to have a hyperbaric chamber here at the house so Miranda can get everything she needs to get better the chambers are about $60,000 .. of course we don't have that. if you know of away to make it possible for Miranda to get want she needs to get better please e-mail me. Miranda in 1995 after car accident. Comatose We are also going to be doing a red cell test ... this determines what Miranda is lacking so we can give it to her. Helps brain get everything it needs to heal. Miranda is determines, a fighter ... thank GOD! They took Miranda to St. Elisthbeth in Edgewood Ky.. They did not except her to make it to the hospital. after she was stable enough they drove her to children's hospital in Cincinnati Ohio . she was on a vent for 1 month and a half. She had 0% brain activity .....they said she wouldn't live 24 hrs . Thank god she is alive! Drs. gave her a trac they said she may have to always have it and she had it for only 2 weeks ...they were wrong again thank god . Miranda also got a q-tube . Miranda was in a coma for 6 months and after 5 months she started jerking .we went to the hospital and found out she had brain activity....she does not have seizures....thank god! Miranda did alot of storming and had high pressures on her brain ..she has a shunt now Miranda went threw alot of test in the hospital including spinal taps. She was in the hospital for 74 days the first time. Miranda has high muscle tone and still this day it has been a problem for her to do thing because of it ....miranda's first word was on news eve 1997 the word no. God is healing our little girl and we are very thankful. She is our life and we wait on the good lord to complete her healing . Miranda has been threw so much she's also had 2 hip surgeries because of high tone, we are working on her tone with therapy and meds. They must keep you company and tell you "Little Angel Secrets" that only you can hear.....It must be such a peaceful and beautiful sound they whisper into your little ear. They tell you "Jesus Loves You" and that he forever will.....And with such love and compassion it's you Miranda he will continue heal. Even if its just the smallest thing that only your parents have the joy to see.....It will let them know your saying "Jesus is still working on me!" You are a little Angel yourself and this your Mommy and Daddy know.....Because you're the little angel that has touched their very heart and soul. So everynight as you are drifting off to sleep little one....Know that Heavens Angels are shining all around you as bright as the morning sun. And when you awake in the morning you will find that Jesus and his Angels are still right there....Because they long to keep you company and in their constant care. Miranda now has her own chamber at home, making progress. Her tone is improving, she has become more active with her arms, legs. Miranda needs a new walker called the HART walker. Insurance wont cover it but this walker is the only walker that is special with braces from feet to chest. which Miranda needs right now. HART.
Update 07/21/00
Miranda in 1995 in a coma, after a car accident that almost took her life ... thank GOD she is alive! This is her little sister Erica with her. I was 6 months pregnant at the time of the accident with Erica.
Miranda has a shunt, a g -- tube. Miranda is going to be 8 yrs old on Oct 27th.
My little girl ...my best friend her name is Miranda and on Oct 3rd 1995 we were in a car accident ....it was a rainy day and we were going home as we started up the hill to our home I sled and hit a guardrail and then I lost control and went into the other lane that is where we were hit by a truck .Miranda was sitting in the back in the middle in a car seat. she went into a coma instantly, paramedics called for a helicopter but they wouldn't come due to the weather.
Miranda has come along way and has along way to go and because of her tone which is reproving some .....she is very frustrated. Miranda now understands everything and her brain activity is slower than the average 6 yr. old and Miranda is now 6. She walks some in a walker and tells us when she has to go potty in her own words and tells us when she is hungry we do get new words every once in a while. Again the reason Miranda can not talk alot is because of high tone even in her mouth and her tongue she is a fighter and we are looking into new treatments including the hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
