Nathan Eby

My name is Nathan. I suffered a right frontal brain injury while I was still in my birth mom's tummy. My birth mom must have taken a bad fall or suffered some abuse, so the doctors say. They have no other explanation for the way I am. I was adopted at the age of 7 weeks, but no one discovered this "problem" until I was 3. I have some trouble speaking, but love to sing. I have difficulty writing my name, but I have a nice tutor who comes to my house and is helping me. Today was the first day I wrote my whole first name. I learned how to tie my shoes, ride a bike, and cast a fishing pole this year. The doctors say I have a good chance to be "normal" by the age of 13, but my mom says whoever heard of a "normal" teenager!!! The doctors have me on a lot of medicine. They say it helps replace some of the chemicals that my brain doesn't produce. I don't mind it but it sometimes bothers mom. She thinks it's a lot of medicine for a little guy. I would welcome mail from anyone who wants to talk. My e-mail is lorie@npcc.net

I love life the way it is. I know no other way. I enjoy one day at a time. I love to tell people about Jesus. Hope to talk to you soon. Nathan (sometimes people call me Nate!)
