I was a 18 year old college freshman when I interupted a robbery/assault taking place in Berkeley, CA. A man on crack cocaine was attacked two subway workers and I intervened to distract the assailant. He came at me and struck me several times in the head. I was nocked unconscious but did not suffer a coma. Anyway, now I am in my fifth month in an outpatient program and will be going to a special brain injury school in southern california next year. Hopefully I will be able to return to college and graduate, even though it might take me a few extra years. Thank you so much for the service you do,
