I was at work ,it was my anniversary day at work 10 years to the day OCT 17 1998. I had a super migraine headache so I thought,It was such a pain I was biting my teeth together I was determing I was going to get through this 8 hour day for when you have your 10 years you had to work that day the day before and the day after to get your 4 weeks vacation and I was not going to have to wait to earn it later.So I kept popping Tylenol ,My head hurt with each phone call I took I work for the shopping channel QVC anyway usually 8 hour day would take around 300 to 400 phone calls a busy day,that day I was working in the credit card department and the calls were getting to me had to keep telling people how to read there bills go over 6 months history,balances,posted checks etc,held my hands to my head, got home after shift laid down told husband did not feel good I was thinking I got new blood pressure med. more dose because BP was high and maybe it was the new med. It was sun my face was red as my sweat shirt. took BOP 180/110 husband worry stupid me I told him I was fine.had to laid down it was my BOP did we need to call doc no I am fine. Stupid me went to work the next day in credit dept again head sharp pains tears coming to my eye got up and said I have to go everyone look at me she is leaving patty never leaves what is wrong she does not look good,went to phone call doc secatry took message doc was w/ a patient would call me ASAP. stud me drove home,husband home real sick. soon as I came in called the doc was told get to the hospital ASAP when he heard it was the worst headache of mt life. called my mom she took me to the ER. waited and waited was giving Demerol when I first got there then mri people coming and going in the er why are they leaving why can't the er doc tell me what up an tell me to go. I thought maybe it was a super migraine waited sister came up. waited more daughter came up still waiting husband came with my son after I was gone so long er doc told me my doc was in the hospital they are waiting for him why him you are a doc just let me go but I knew soon as I heard he was in the building everyone waiting saying it is just migraines may be the meds nope I knew,doc came in put his hand on my foot said you know kiddo when the big guy himself comes you are not going to like the news. he is ny nephroolgist I have a kidney disease polycystic kidney and with this disease there's a 3 to 5 % chance of a person getting a berry aneurysm lucky me all the long history in my family sith pkd I am the only one that had one why cousin and all tested after I found out. More mri lumbar punctures angiogram such fun put me in ccu it was not a bleeder but bp widening the vessels by it doc had the best neurosurgeon come in . Coiling or clip decided to clip since coiling so new, nov 20 8 hrs long tiresome surgery doc came out with blood all over him and told my husband it was taking longer than the 4 hr they thought because they were having a hard time finding the right clip scared my husband to death ,everyone who were waiting for me I had to pretend to be strong so all would not worry I seem so calm to be going in having this surgery but I did not want all to be afraid my son and daughter came when I first went in saw me before I went than they went to school there colloge was only a few blocks when they finish classes they came and was upset that I was not out. My son had a major test for a job he was intersting in and this test is only 2 times a year for this goverment job and you don't pick a date they give you one and you can guess the date they gave my son yep nov 20 the day of my brain surgey and they do not take any reason you could not be there,plus I don't think he could of did great with all on his mind. Made it thru thought wow I am doing good was thinking about going back to work it has been dec and jan one and feb and I can go to work in march. DId not work out feb 8th woke up speech slurred left side face drooping husband call neurosurgeon told him to take me to the hospital to get test he was thinking it was a stroke also ,test showed blood in my head I had a subdural hemmorage had to have surgey right away which hospital the one I went to was not where my surgery first was doc ask which hospital I wanted surgery in sentara or ches I was in ches told him sentara he said that is best because better equipment bigger hospital so they drove me by ambulance to the other hospital. they made burrows to take stop the bleeding I call them my dents. Did not do so great. Woke up with all these things all over my head i felt like something from outerspace the oxgen thing on my finger I kept pointing it at people telling them it is et strangers and all. Speech was really slurred people came annd I would talk weird stuff and nor remember them there. had a cather get it out I don't want it I am going to make my mommy get you if you don't get it out ,now I am a 42 yr old woman but I did not know what I was saying things on my head eletrodes started having seizures in the surgery . after a week in ccu I got a room in the stroke and traunma floor and I trid to walk I look like I was drunk could only go a few feet, tried to talk sounded like a baby could not remember things, when I finally went home could not to everyday task. I had physical therapy, speech therapy, occupation therapy. Short term memory ,better in aalot learn to walk again speech 90 pecent better left hand still part paralle concentration skills only bordreline. Not abble to work hard time comprehending but you would not beleive I am the same person 2 years ago. ,One big problem I still have another aneurysm doc don't want to do anything watch it have angiogram once a year to check if it has grown or bleeding last angiogram bad experience almost ended up in surgery because of a stupid nurse and if I had never had a angiogram before and did not know which way I was suppose to f fell I would had ended up in surgey I told her I was having serve pain fromn the groin to the ab and she said oh you probably have to empty your bladder I had to convice her something is wrong she did not know what to do she kept saying I have to wait to talk to the doc I said something is wrong I can not stand the pain I have had about 4 angiogram this is not normal she called down stairst to radiogist the nurse there had to come up and the whole they put in your groin she had to hold it she tried showing the nurse forget it she said it has to be held the nurses are suppose to watch for this i was hemmoraging the clamp did not close the hole as tifgt nurse had to show my stupid nurse but her stupid supervisor what to do the radiologist nurse said good thing you knew what to look for are you would be having another surgey. Taking life day by day ,sorry so long and spelling is Wronggggggggggggg.thanks for listening patty
