hello,
i'm Paul. im 31, and brain injured. i suffered my injury on june 25,1996. i was overseas in Saudia Arabia doing my US Airforce job. i had 3 weeks to go incountry before i returned to the United States. i flew as a crewmember and was schedualed to fly that night. unfortunately durring the aircraft preflight a problem was found. the mission was canceled so i returned to my quarters. i went to bed at arround 9:30pm only to wake up at 10:05 needing to use the restroom. while i was in the restroom, at 10:09pm, my life changed forever. a terrorist bomb exploded killing 19 other soldiers. of those 19 five of them were my crewmates. as it later turns out, i became the sole survivor of my crew. after about 2 hours of recoveery efforts, i was recovered and missidentified. eventually i would return to US hands and be flown to Germany and Washington DC. i went comatose for 5 weeks while all of the moving occured. eventually i was taken to florida where i started my long road to recovery. i stayed in florida for 9 months and then moved again. i moved to my highschool town in north carolina. i went back expecting it to have remained the same. WRONG. it had totally changed. i stayed there for 2 1/2 years and then moved to my present location. i moved back to Virginia. i moved there because of all of the medical and support benefits that i would recieve. ive now been there for about 18 months. i now take it day by day and hope for the best. if i cought your attention please, i beg, please email me
