The TBI Chatroom |
hello my name is rebecca or becky , and i think you all know that i was in the Australian army . on my2nd year as a chief . well on the night or morning of the 13 of April 00 when going back to base after being home too help mum with nan dot. as you know who had a heart attack. i hit a 6 ft roo . that is a ( kangaroo) it was 3.30am it the right time for them to be out morning before sunup and night just after dark. i dont remember hitting him i didn't see him to it was too late.
they tell you if you turn you head lights off they will stop . well am here to tell you it don't work. he jump on way and then right back again. he hit the front of my uet and rolled on to the hod of the car and down the back . the car rolled 3 or 4 times i remember seeing a tree and think o my god i going to hit the tree, the sound of the glass breaking all around me was nothing . to the sound of the car rolling over and over i still here it in my head at night and i see the tree coming up to meet me
i must have blacked out because the next thing i remember is being up side down with lights in my face and it was day time so i cant really tell you how long i was out for. we whent to hospital and could hear lots of talking but it was like it was in other rooms not next to me. i was thinking wow this is funny what's going on here and my hole body was cold . cant really remember any more to the next day waking up in hospital with mum asleep in chair next to me holding my hand. was thinking to my self nope this not happening its a dream and its cool will wake up and be at work. but no mum woke up just as the dr came in to the room. and the army police . they told me i hit the roo and rolled my car 5 time and the car end up side down and the roo was under the car and just missed the tree one more roll and it would have been me and the roo as crow food . lol not really funny but you know how it goes
