My son turned 14 April 10,2005 and on the 14th my neighbors pitbull attacked
him ,biting part of his nose , he went through plastic surgery and 1 month on may 14
him and his girlfriend went home with their friend for a while to play pool. They
took off on 4 wheelers without helmets and my son and girlfriend rolled off a paved
road backward . They overcorrected and it ran over my sons head. Life star landed
at our local high school and flew him to Knoxville. His girlfriend was hurt too ,
but they took her to the local hospital . They both had road burn .My son wasnt
responding when they took off. I dont think I have ever been as numb as when they
told me he was hurt really bad , and they were going to go in to do brain surgery ,
but the surgeon said he was young and the blood clot was on the outer lining of his
brain and wasnt directly against his brain, I dont think I spoke to anyone , I was
silent. His daddy just broke down , their best friends and act more like brothers,I
had never in 17 years seen my husband that heartbroken.
I prayed all the way to knoxville and Im still praying,He made it. God
gave him another chance to be a kid,Its been about 4 months and the
little fellow is doing great until he started high school and a new kid
came to school. Two older boys spit on the new kid and he thought it was
my son and hit him right in the place where he had brain surgery . We
rushed him to the hospital and they done another cat scan. He was ok they
said and the school suspended the boy for 9 days. but he could have
killed my son.
