I was in a car crash. Before my accident, I was self employed. I started a very successful commercial roofing company. We worked in three states. We installed high tech roofing systems on flat roofs. I did pretty good. Especially for only going to college one semester. I made enough money to travel throught the entire country and 25 different countries. Also, I started the local Chamber of Commerce. Also, three girls proposed to me before my car crash. I now wish.I would have said yes. Probably no car crash then. Different place, different time. My accident was seven years ago.

I was driving along the thruway, when I went to pass a car. A semi was right behind me in the left lane,he hit me from behind.I wass then starflighted to a hospital. I was told I was in a jet helicopter. To badI wasnt awake. It sounds pretty cool.My life is certainely getting better now. I have now walked about 700 steps with no help at all. I am sure Ill be walking normally next year sometime. The main reason I have trouble is also because of my brain injury. It seems that my brain forgot to send the proper signals to my legs on how to walk properly. My memory also was very bad, but now is also getting better. One reason is because I read books. The memory specialist told me that this would be the best thing I can do to improve it.

Please try to have a lot of confidence. It is half the battle!
