how I got in my wheelchair

at the time I was living and going to school in Memphis

in may of 84 I was visiting my step dad in Milan TN. some friends of ours came over and invited me to their house. heather and I were play'n outside while her parents were inside doing their stuff. then we were looking at her 3 wheeler and we decided she would teach me how 2 drive her 3 wheeler. so, we got on I was drive'n 4 the 1st time and I was so excited. and after we got on started the motor and went forward and were going 4 a while I must have blacked out 4 a while cuz I ran in 2 her house. then we were rushed 2 the Milan general hospital but, our injuries were 2 severe for them to help us there so, then we were rushed to le bohners children medical center in Memphis. there they could help us so, we stayed there.

heather wasn't hurt as much as I was but, she was hurt so, she had to go to the hospital w/ me. so, she got to like go home the next day but, I had 2 stay in a coma for the next 6 wks and then I was transferred to a different hospital for rehab 4 the next 2 mo. there my best friend came to visit me every Saturday during my PT sessions. and that's where she decided she would be a physical therapist.

well, now my life is getting better. I've graduated high school.and am working on getting a business degree in college to start a daycare. well, my dream is to start my own daycare. because, I believe children should be treated better than they are at the present daycare's..
