hi my son suffered a TBI last year from having a cabinet fall at a place of business he was 3years old at the time. now he is 5. he wasn't suppose to live he had an open and closed head injury. he is now doing remarkably well considering what he has been through. after spending two months in the hospital and rehab. it gave me and my husband a new look on life and how precious it is, especially a childs life. we have 4 children all together, it was so hard on our relationship after spending 18 hours a day there. but it had made us a better family . we wonder what will the future holds for him. how is he going to handle school when he gets older. he has short term memory loss. and sometimes he is so tired that he sleeps all day. he no longer goes for physical therapy he just has speech and to. when we go places we can't go in the furniture dept. we stay away from big items, or anything that is leaning up against something. i had lost my job so i could stay home with him and take him to therapy. if anyone sees my son they would have no clue the hell he has been through.. I wish there were someone who could predict his future but no one can because of his age. they say anything is possible with him. Insurance companies are also a joke when he had to have emergency brain surgery they told us we didn't have to worry about anything they would take care of the bills,to this day we are still getting hate mail wondering when they are going to get paid.Email Terry
