my name is Tim Robinson and i was in a car accident in which i was hit and because my leg was on the gas pedilal and went on to hit 3 telephone poles.after a while when the parabedices came to me i was not breathing.they dont know for how long i was not breathing.that is were i received my TBI.i was in a coma for 8 weeks.when they were ready to ship me to a nursing home in MASS. i started to wake -up.i was at 3 different hosiptals but the best for me was BRYNMARR REHAB.i owe my life to them.they did all types of therapys on me.at first when i awoke they told me it would be till SEPT. or OCT. when i would be able to go home.i said to myself no-way,and i busted my tail off going threw all the in-patient therapys and was able to go home JULY 31.some times i would think i wentt home to early.the next day i started there DAY TREATMENT program under the direction of DONNA GREGORY.i set a record there for being there for on and off for 8 months.at the same time in DEC.of 98 i started swiming exercises for 5 monthes and when that was over they decided to operated on my back.a bone broke during the accident and they tried the exercises first to try not to operate.i got the operation NOV.26 1999.they fused the bones together.i also have nerve inflamation in my legs.they dont know if it will ever heal.they wont say.after that i was home for 3 months only being able to walk and having to have a heavy back brace on for 6 months.i still wore for a while the brace while sleeping,that was the only way i could sleep.then in MAY of 1999 i started water exercises again.that was a big help to me.in 2000 around in aug.i was finealy done .as you can see i have been threw a lot and now i have a problem of when the seasons change i get a sinus infection.i have had 6 since the accident every one i get it seems to get worse and worse.just in oct 2000 i had one so bad that i had to go to the hosiptal because i had blurry vision and dizzy spells and since heart problems run in the family they keep me for 2 nights.and now i have to get a stress test done,it just seems to never end.it gets at times very frustation and i want to giove up but something inside of me tells me to never give up.Email Tim
