Victor "Vic" Flynn

Victor had his left foot crushed at work. The hospital (Lee Memorial in Fort Myers Florida) operated on his foot placing pins to repair the crush injury. During the night after surgery they OVERDOSED him, shut his Central Nervous System down, and put him into a coma, which lasted 31 days.

They said he had a 1-2 % chance for survival, and that would not happen short of a miracle. That if he lived he would not come out of the coma, and if he did, he wouldnt even know me "His own mother". The EEG (Brain wave test) showed NO brain activity, except for the brain stem which was keeping his heart beating. He had 8 strokes in the first two days following the overdose. Several strokes were in the ocipital lobe (vision)of the brain. They said he would be blind. They wanted me to unplug him and let him die. I refused, keeping my faith in God and his ability to heal 100%. Victor woke up after 31 days, is not blind, knows not only me but people he hasnt seen since he was 10-12 years old, remembers new people and songs (they said he would not have short term nor long term memory), has the same since of humor, beautiful smile, NO PARALISIS ON EITHER SIDE OF HIS BODY, continues to make slow, steady progress in speach and building his coordination and body strength.

I have been by my sons side 24 hours a day 7 days a week since this happened (except for going to the store or something like that). I can not tell you how important family love and support are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE KEEP THE FAITH...........
