Wesla Crystal
On June 6, 1999 Wesla was in a car wreck rode by her ex boyfriend in somebody else's car. He ran through the red light and the truck that hit right into Wesla's side with the guard rail on it. The firefighters had to use Jaws of Life to get Wesla out of the car. The best thing happened was her other friend tried to get her out while calling 911. They came so quick to save Wesla. Truck driver and the baby were fine, went home that morning. The ex boyfriend went home couple weeks later. The best friend went home couple days later. Only Wesla spend 4 months and 25 days in coma then in total of 5 months, Wesla continue to do her rehab everyday. On Feb 25, 2000, Wesla came home and continue to do her rehab at the Day Program. She have the sweetest and happy smile all the time. Wesla is almost the same as before the wreck. I thanked God for the second chance. Wesla despised her ex boyfriend for driving.
